Dreadful pub. Glad it's shut. Badly run. Rude landlord. Soon to be demolished. No great loss!

Visited this pub and had the Sunday carvery. Very good value for money, plenty of good quality food and the staff were very friendly. Good selection of desserts too! On tap was Hobgoblin which is rare these days and a nice pint of Tribute.

20 seconds walk from the station entrance. Hourly train service from Ashford International or Eastbourne via Hastings. Visit!

Not eaten here but the Harveys the other afternoon was superb. Hope to visit again.

I particularly like the old railway network maps on the wall of this pub. Due to location it can sometimes be a bit quiet but the beer is good and it is is handy for anyone visiting the Hamstreet/Appledore/Brookland area as there are so few pubs offering accomodation in the area these days. The Red Lion is just a ten minute walk along the road too.

This was once a regular haunt. For the last four years I've popped in once a year on the way to another pub to see how bad it's got. It's under new management again.
This lot seem friendlier than the last. Let's hope for the best - it used to be a cracking place to be.

This used to be a regular haunt until it changed hands a few years ago and went downhill. It's now under new management and seems to be on the up again. A shame that with three hand pumps there's only two ales on....

Found this place by accident while out riding round the kent countryside. A nice family run pub that has great food and also provides accomadation. a good selection of lagers and ales are available and a warm welcome given to those who choose to ride motorcycles...Hooray! Speaking to the new landlord he hopes to start some live bands soon this will be great,if it happens we will be able to sample the beers on offer then to sleep it off in one of the very comfortable rooms!
