A nice pub just outside High Wycombe. Big garden and plenty of parking. In a rare moment of sunshine my boyfriend and I pop down for a drink or 2 in the beer garden. On the occasions when we have eaten there have never been disappointed - the Thai food is exquisite and the Sunday roast we had was a good size and yummy.

We like to keep Valentines quite low key, so we decided to try the Vanlentines Special at the Wendover, as it is just down the road from us. We were pleasantly surprised! They had done the restaurant end of the pub out with roses and candles and it looked very nice. There was only one option for each course on the Special menu, so we decided to go for the whole 3 courses. WOW, what a blow out and what great food! The steak diane and potato bake were out of this world, and the pudding was not only delicious but also beautifuly presented. We will definitely be back next time they put on an evening like this!

Not the most welcoming pub, but great food! Thai and English food on offer, I had the Thai Green Curry and my girlfriend had the lasagne, good sized portions, very tasty and change from 20 quid! I'll be back. :-)

A bit of a blokey pub, but fairly friendly barstaff and locals. Not the smartest decor, but what do you expect in Wycombe. Best thing about the place was the food - they do lovely Thai at a reasonable price. Definitely worth popping in for that!

This pub is in a prime location, yet due i think to a very unwelcoming set of locals that make you feel most uncomfortable it is not as popular as it should be.
The pub even seems to come complete with it's own ape like lothario who seems to truly believe he is every womans dream, whilst you wouldn't even want to run in to him in your worst nightmare.
The decor is old and jaded.
There are however good parking facilities.
Definitely NOT a pub I would recommend to a friend (especially not of the female variety)

Stupidly cold pub unless you stand within a few feet of the real fire. Bizarrely, no seating around it. Decor appears to be some botched attempt to make it appear "modern and trendy". Horrible place. Sandwich was . 1 mark for that and 1 for the fire

Nicely situated, beer awful, staff surly, decor is dreadful, parking good

Never enough staff so you have to wait too long to get served. Quite often the real ale is unavailable. Truly crap modern "art" on the walls. Garden is OK.
