Rough and ready town pub with a few decent ales on. The Northland Ruby was a very nice ale. Has a pool table to the rear which has Blackpool FC frescos (club crest, Stan Mortensen, Stanley Mathews etc) on the ceiling above it and old programmes adorning the walls. Ale quality here was very good.

Can be a bit noisy by the pool table. Good quality ales make it worth the visit.

Been attending here quite alot recently. The ale is consistently good - usually a Copper Dragon beer on. Plenty of tv's for sports fans, excellant juke box. Also a decent band are on most Saturday nights.
Best pub in Poulton at the minute.

Local's pub in the centre of Poulton with 3/4 handpumps on. At the time of my visit the Banktop flat cap was excellent. Bitburger larger on sale as well as Warsteiner, both are very well kept. Also dogs are allowed (Yeah! woof woof!) so if you see someone with 2 Airedale terriers come over and say hello.

This place was quite friendly on my last visit and the Old Speckled Hen was very drinkable. Other guest beers were available on tap and this is now getting noticed by discerning drinkers around the town and beyond. Quite a surprise; last time I went in there many years ago, it was New Years Eve and a hell hole.

One of the better pubs in Poulton. A bit dank inside but interestingly decorated (The ceiling has a sort of cistine chapel thing going on). Decent Jukebox as well-Led Zepellin, Black Sabbath etc. One of the more down to earth pubs in Poulton-the place to go if you want to avoid the crowds of young professional wannabes that usually infest Poulton at the weekend.
