Still seems fairly busy, clean and friendly, albeit a bit more expensive than my last visit.

Great pub with very friendly and welcoming staff. Good entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights as well as bank holidays and the odd Sunday.
Great food, with the carvery (with take-away option) being very popular and reasonably priced. Quiz night is good light-hearted fun.
Only downsides are the drinks prices are a little on the high side, and the range of entertainment is not as varied as other pubs within the area.
Overall a valued local.

A real old style boozer, nothing really right or wrong with it. 3 pumps on. A generous 6/10.

Choice of beer - I plumped for Gem - and it was very tired. There was some sort of music going on later (Sat night) and a fairly young clientele. Underwhelming. 3/10.

Called in here on Tuesday for Crib. Nice clean Pub.
Courage Best, Wells Bombardier, Wadworth's 6X and St. Austell Tribute. All around the �2.95 mark and the beer was well kept too. Apart from the Crib match, Ladies Darts were home too, so quite busy.
Look at the Bristol's Lost Pubs website - Used to be called the 'New Inn' years ago.

3 handpumps feature at this local on the main road from hanham to bristol,sadly it was courage best,a turned bombardier and the proudly displayed "beer of the month" bein wait for it,drum roll... Err wadworth 6X hmm a lot busier than the maypole up the road but then it dont take a lot to beat 4 people in a pub,barman was lacking in any type of customer service skills and my pint of blackthorn was �3.10 seriously not great 5/10

i used to drink in this pub every friday night going back about 6 years, was lovely, toilets arent all that!. It started to turn a bit clicky with the car salesmen at the bar, not moving for people waiting, we go elsewhere now.. dont get me wrong, the pub is nice and they have dont quite a bit to it now, darts, new seating area, nice pub garden..
