Now under new management and serving real ale along with the usual suspects – Old Speckled Hen and Rocking Rudolph were on when I visited; other times it has been GKIPA and OSH. Prices good. Pool table. No BT Sport though.

Update on the missus behalf, she poped in here on a saturday night and ordered a jack daniels and coke, was served a poor whiskey from a jack daneils bottle, when complained they offered a refill, selling fake jack daneils, need i say more, avoid this unpleasent pub, just around the corner you have angies, none of that malarkey in this fine establishment.

Typical irish pub, full off greyhair and scalp! Not the sort of place to take your wife or a Glasgow Rangers supporter, Place full of Celtic memorabalia [ shame] On a Sunday night live toothless wonders singing, Need i say more!

Been popping in here for a few pints over the years. Have to say not as good as it used to be. The lager's luke warm and flat. Think the gaffer who's a friendly bloke needs to have a look at his pipes. The guy singing looked like Renee out of 'Allo 'Allo. There's a slightly toilety smell pervading the place which is kind of offputting.

I wasn't desperately impressed wit h this. It looks quite welcoming from outside, but inside has a very sparse and unfurnished look which is rather depressing. No real ale, but good, friendly, service from the barman.

I popped in here last Friday afternoon and found myself in a stereotypical Irish pub complete with Ladbrokes atmosphere and Guinness aplenty (I counted five Guinness pumps). The ubiquitous Irish pub draught selection was also available and obviously no real ale was to be seen. I found the staff to be friendly enough and all the other punters seemed to be engrossed in the horse racing that was being shown on the plethora of plasma screens.

Thankfully I love these sorts of pubs and I would recommend a visit if, like me, you like darts (two boards), sports on the TV (Sky and Setanta) and the black stuff.

A regular haunt.Apart from the slutty barmaid Janet this is a decent boozer. Not a young persons pub.

Every bar person in London should be forced to undergo training in this gaff - This is how you should work behind a bar! I've seen one geezer on his own back there, serving two people at the bar whilst taking orders from about 3 others behind at the same time.....Slick. This is just a normal/local Irish boozer, but fck me, if I were gasping for a pint on a friday night and was faced with the choice of here or any of the gastroed holes in the area!,..Well,..Choice ya say!,...It aint no choice at all!

Just round the corner from Angies Freehouse. Another Celtic pub. Usually have a one man band on Saturday nights. Older person's pub. Well run bar, never have to wait long though it's always busy. Somehow always have that feeling I'm gatecrashing a private party. Perfectly okay for a pint though.
