Okay for ale but still feels more like the shop conversion it is than a pub.

Stamps is situated in a prominent position in Crosby and was fairly busy on my Sunday afternoon visit. It was several times better than the Crosby Village Social Club where I had just come from. But I was expecting more after trying Stamps Too a few years back. The beers were Everards Tiger, First Chop Hop, Oakham Inferno & Stamps Flying Cloud. There are no real ciders. A little disappointing.

A trendy bar with a winding wooden staircase leading to a small, cosy, upstairs room. Walls covered in posters.
However, upon entering the building the nostrils were assualted by an overwhelming stench of bleach!
5 ales available. I can't remember what I had but it was well kept.

I thought there was a really cool feel to this place. Probably somewhere I'd go in the evening rather than the day. Beer was in good condition and there seems to be live music fairly regularly, if that's your cup of tea.

Usually 4 beers available at this free house, with Southport and Liverpool Organic popular as well as small to medium breweries. Extensive food range, quiet during day. Note that the review by LittleFamily Fish was on Easter Sunday, so is probably a fair review of what it's like on one of the busiest days of the year.

Paid our first visit here Easter Sunday afternoon, hoping for some good real ale & something to eat. On arriving a band were setting up and they just over dominated the whole pub. It's only a little pub and whilst I'm all for live music this isn't really the right sort of venue for heavily amplified stuff. Of the 6 handpumps on the bar 3 were turned round. Of the 3 beers that were available 2 were national major brands that you get everywhere. Due's Due though, the beer we did have was well kept. There was no food available when we visited and having escaped upstairs to the only free table the table was covered in stale sticky beer. Not a great first impression and will not bother re-visiting.

Reasonably priced cafe-bar. Not much atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, including some v good live bands with no admission charge. One of the very few pubs where you can drink alone without being made to feel unwelcome.
