Enjoyed a pleasant pint here sat at the tables out the front watching the world go by. This was on a weekday lunchtime so not sure what the place is like when it gets busier.

Welcomed by friendly staff, a cute Dachshund/Jack Russell cross, and the landlord trying to assemble a toilet seat at the bar(!) Very quiet when we went there at 1pm on a Tuesday. 3 ales on - Cheshire Cat was cracking! Really nice pub. 7/10.

Hmm looks ok from outside but sadly appearances can be deceptive, maybe i popped in on a a bad evening but only bombardier was on out of three pumps, the young barmaid was totally disinterrested in serving however that might have been due to the scouser kid who had been barred was outside spilling beer over other punters and projectile vomiting all over the pub entrance,4/10

me again, bacxck inChester with the boys for a day out Saturday 13.30 ish popped in to watch footy, packed to the rafters upstairs and downstairs great atmosphere as before did not have to wait for service, top guiness and lads said bombardier in great shape, went back at night and they had a little fella on a disco dancing up and down looked like a leprachaun but played some great stuff lots of good lookers in pub must have a hell of an attraction to punters as these were top lookers. Good day/night WILL be back for races in may. (little dog bonkers wanted chasing round pub all the time great personallity thought)

back again after 2.5 years still great atmosphere had a group on called "My 11th Toe" !! dont ask I have no idea how they got to that name. Place packed to rafters inside and out but did not ewait for a drink, staff very slick.
Bombardier in great shape, would suggest you pop in and saviour the goods and entertainment, bar maids are lookers which also helps

Nice place, good selection of Beers, was in there today it was quiet inside due to everyone being outside the pub drinking in the sun. Barmaid was lovely, very helpful.

Nice and quiet, not very busy but a nice stop for a quiet one!

Good food, big helpings, reasonable prices plus some nice staff. Hanging baskets are something else (near tropical)!! Went to Chester on Friday for Chester races on Saturday (June) although very busy did not wait for drink and the band on that Saturday night was great. Well worth a visit next time in town.

Found this place over St Patricks weekend Top pub, really good freshly cooked food, great live music on Friday and Saturday night, apparently it is normally Friday and open mic on Sunday, top bar staff and a young very approachable landlord Tom. Great friendly atmosphere, try it and enjoy it as I did.

yer, a good old pub, drop in for a quicky. A woman came out of there and showed me her jugs.....so she was happy with the place. most of chester is up it's arse.So have six or seven here, then go to Liverpool for about five and start the night of right drinking in the city center pubs.

Currently serving the excellent local beers from Spitting Feathers, in superb condition!

Love this pub, second best I found in Chester centre. Good music, good pint of Bombardier, served until 12 (saturday) and the friendliest bar staff in town. Live artist on the previous night was quite entertaining a bit folky, and the old space invaders game table under the window was there if you wanted to relive your teenage years.
