Stayed here for one night while on our way further west. Pleasant room, pleasant staff, nice beer and splendid food. Recommended!

Our local for our holiday. Open early in the day, so in for a breakfast cup of tea. Sedate atmosphere, people breakfasting. Came back a day later for food in the evening. Its like the wild west. Drunken man and woman doing a bad impression of meat loaf, which included dancing. Drunken man taking shirt of to show off his guns. This was 8pm. The police were probably coming at 10pm. The food was superb - all home cooked and the drinks were good value. Recommended.

The food here is rasty and comes in good-sized portions. My wife's jacket spud turned out to be two potatoes, lots of filling & a big salad. My ham egg & chips was also big - about 4 times the chips I get at Wetherspoons.not cheap but good value. Has Cornish Rattler cider which if not quite real cider is much better than Wrongbow or Lackthorn.

Visited for a pint and also stayed in the B&B accomodation upstairs. New owners (only been in 6 weeks) have got plans for the B&B side of things, enjoyed a pint with the locals in Alans Bar (you get a choice of three bars), a bit lively with the boys having been drinking all daylight hours of the bank holiday, but beer (Tinners) good quality. Centrally located, and a good breakfast in the restaurant, interesting old coaching inn features and stone floors.

Not a bad place, all ales perfectly acceptable, food good, has BBQ and a shorts, cocktail bar open in summer weekends. Popular with golfers staying during the week.
Friendly guv'nor and staff. Busy at weekends.

My first local, and still my favourite place when I'm the right side of the Tamar. Great atmosphere, great beer. Shame they stopped doing twister chips with garlic dip though. And the bar staff aren't as fit as they used to be - or maybe I'm just not as drunk when I'm in there as I used to be...

Great pub all year round. Three bars including one outdoor specialising in cocktails especially in the summer. Great jukebox, tasty food and friendly bar staff
