Awful place. Once you've got past the arrogant idiots on the door you're no longer in the mood to enjoy yourself. Bad beer. Poor service. #Avoid

Last O'Neill's I visited was in Euston Road and that had a half-decent selection of ales on. Sadly all that was on tap here was Smithwick's.

A pint was just under the £4 mark, which I guess is sadly about standard for the area.

Staff were friendly enough, tables cleared of empties regularly and was a fairly comfortable place to kill half an hour without being overwhelmingly exciting or busy.

Standard stuff - fairly comfortable and spacious, with the usual beers, ales, etc on tap.....at its best when showing sporting events, and there is a special menu with some pretty decent meals for 3.45.....it doesn't try or pretend to be trendy, and for that you can't be too critical. not a bad pub, but a little uninspiring - a hell of alot better than the neighbouring walkout about, and some of Angels more pretentious bars...not bad.

Visited on the afternoon of New Year's Eve. No entry charge at this time of day. Uninspiring range of drinks, standard menu and reasonably polite and efficient staff.

Disabled access (via passage at the side) and WC (key behind the bar).

How they have the cheek to charge to get into this hovel i don`t know , designed for people with no imagination, i was unfortunate enough to have the misfortune of going here recently. Never again truly awful.

They could always rebrand if the Irish bit becomes unfashionable ;. It seemed more Aussie to me anyway. Grilled chicken sandwich on the way to a downstairs bar near Highbury & Islington. I wouldn't go out of my way to it but at least it had hot food at a time when other places nearby either didn't or wanted you to sit down for a whole set meal. Do wish they wouldn't let blokes wander about with no shirts on though. Puts you off your food.

Went there about 3 weeks ago and the music was far too loud, far too many people hanging around the bar and not ordering drinks, which is irritating. However, we did apreciate the heat lamps and tables outside so we could smoke in comfort!

pseudo Irish bar, need I say more.

Was dragged in here one Friday night. Music too loud to talk over (and not remotely Irish), and full of chavs and tossers. Also has some guy in the toilets trying to wash your hands for you, which I find deeply irritating. To be fair, it was open until 2am; but these days quite a few decent places are also open late, so I really don't see any need to ever drink in here.

Not bad on Sunday. There was live music playing. I wouldn't rush back though.

Quick service from nice attractive bar maids and a nice cool pint of heineken,as usual not exactly irish.

My Rating 8/10

Do you really need a heads-up on what to expect?? Bad beyond belief.... less Irish than Tony Cascarino.

Pretty shit when I went there, same old pissed up crowd thinking they're having a good time just cos the music's too loud to speak. I thought the whole fake Irish pub thing would die out but this proves me wrong. And do you still have to pay to get in? What a f*cking cheek.

Thought this was an alright pub tbh. Although as mentioned before the toilet attendent is a pain. 2 for a squirt of Polo!!!

Beer prices are reasonable too.

A lot of nice ladies here, one of which i got her number but missed a digit out!!! you live and learn!

Pretty generic O'Neills. Nice enough to watch the rugby/football as they do table service and there's quite a bit of room. One thing that really infuriates me is the fact that they put a bathroom attendant in the toilets in the evening. This is a complete waste of time as the toilets are always pretty grubby and the place is just a pub, for gods sake.

Naturally, a hell hole. The kind of place that wastes space on high streets up and down the land, but usefully serves as a magnet for the clueless, keeping them together where they can amuse themselves without getting under everyone else's feet.

Once was passing with a mate on an all dayer and was handed vouchers for a free drink. They there was good as there word, triple whiskies and coke thank you very much. Awful place but I am grateful for the freebie. After drinking up we headed out never to return again.

Not as friendly as the Quays but better than a lot of the other oneils

A wicked place to watch any rugby. Staff serve you at your table, good beers and burgers. Toilets are a bit hot and smelly but clean. Get in early to get a table in front of big screen.

Fantastic night out. Great music and great staff. A brilliant place to socialise. Get there before 9:30 and entry is free and usually no queue. Must have ID.

Went there today for something to eat......big mistake. The waitress didn't know was a roast dinner was....so I had a burger, another mistake. Was given about 15 cold, very sorry looking chips swimming in grease from the burger. Not gonna eat there again. Can't comment about the drinks.....only had a coke.

Just like all o'neils, overpriced for weak larger and bottled drinks. Is very large thought, but does get very busy on fri & sat and has the cheek to charge 3/4 to stand 4 deep at a bar. On the plus side has a golden tee machine if you like that sort of thing!

I used to go to this pub when the world cup was on 2002. It was great as they had a huge screen and was relatively empty at lunch so you could always get a seat in front of the screen. Never been in the evening though.

Laughably posey...great for a giggle before moving on elsewhere!
:o)

Just like every other O'Neill's in the universe. Incredibly long lines of lemmings every Friday and Saturday night.

Still, it keeps them out of my places, so... :)
