CLOSED ! Well it's now a big hole in the ground with a tower block of some description being built !

Quite a pleasant little bar this.

Have been for drinks a few times here and can recommend it. The coller than thou vibe exists to a point, and certainly on a Friday this can get busy. On a week night though, the place is quiet and relaxed. Can have a fairly good selection of drinks, and the vibe within the place is relaxed yet also pleasant enough to take your missus should you be trying to impress her before taking her to a different Old Street dive (better still, go here first then off to the Cay Tre for noodles).

Not brilliant due to the slightly expensive prices and essentially just lager range, but a good place to relax in the week.

This is one of my favouite local bars - starts the evening in Hoxton nicely or finishes the evening nicely. I only wish this place was open later (well I wish that about all bars around Old Street).
Good crowd most days (not always but then again that is the vibe of Old Street). Good Selection of Drinks and a superd atmosphere.

cool place, good for a "loosener" on the way in to Hoxton proper. only 2 mins from old street tube

Music is good once it gets going.

The toilets are amazing, seriously. You got to see them to believe them.

Quite a nice bar. Small, got some sofas downstairs. Definitely grungy - graffiti'd loos (deliberately), pierced, foreign, friendly bar staff, good music. Good for a slightly off the wall drink, or maybe hire the place out for a party.

Shame the upstairs is so "thin". If you're at the bar you constantly have to move out the way of other people.

Great, little drinking pub for an afterwork beer. Good music and a real fire which is great for when it's cold.

ok so it was rated trendiest bar in an evening standard poll or something reasonable, tries a bit hard to be trendy, a little fascistic towards those of us who cant wear jeans to work, but still worth a visit, even if only for the sofas and the opening hours
