Came in here for a quick drink before going to the hot water comedy club. Not really the place if you want a session on the ale, the closest thing to it that I notice on draft was Worthingtons. However, it does look like they have a decent selection of bottled beers in the fridge. I think this may be either to do with the fact it was a Tuesday or because there was a happy hour on (I believe they do some type of happy hour before 8 o clock, from my experience in the, now destroyed, Walkabout that was off Deansgate in Manc), but a half pint of Heineken and a half pint of strong bow dark fruit came to 2.20 all together, which is obviously good value. The bar maid was okay in here, not miserable but not really friendly or anything. It wasn't busy when we were in so I didn't see anyone getting laity and no bouncers were on the door. I did get a dirty look from a guy who looked like he ,ah have been a manager, great way to act towards a patron. Okay and I couldn't argue with the price but the only reason I would come back is if it was insisted upon by someone I was with. The spoons next door is a far superior option in my opinion.

I like to try a new bar/pub whenever I visit Liverpool. I thought I was scraping the barrel with this one. But I was more impressed with this place than I thought I'd be. It's a typical city centre pub catering for the lager-swilling crowd who might want a bite to eat and to watch a little bit of sport on the TV. It's a large cavernous affair on multi levels. I did manage to find a table and nabbed the last bottle of Thatcher's Katy, which undoubtedly swayed my views. Still not a place I'd head back to in a hurry - Liverpool has too many decent pubs. But there's many worse places in the city than this.

Went in on Wednesday night to be informed they were closing at 10.00 p.m. No one in, no atmosphere, nothing to recommend this place.

I went out in liverpool with a work colleague on wednesday night, we had never been there before and were told to go to constance square, we had had a good night for th emost part, listened to music met nice people and danced. THEN IT ALL WENT WRONG! We were walking around the square, went to go into the walkabout and within 2 minutes of going to go in, these 3 bouncers, assaulted me (i am a female, not very big, have never in my life been in a fight nor asked for one am happy go-lucky. " idon't know why they attacked me, but they threw me on the ground beat me up i am covered in bruises can barely move. I called the police and reported the incident, these 3 men are dangerous, they didn;t have any ID badges on. The police want me to take it further, but to be honest, i am not into causing rtouble ith these kinda gangsters. I will never go out in this scally, scouser fake town!! Manchester is so much better and nicer adn pleasant amd classy. Liverpool is not a nice place no wonder the beatles and everybody else left; it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I have been to liverpool many times during the day and seen a lot of dangerous stuff go on, but on a wedneday night to be attacked like that is justifacatin. This place has no culture.

I have never been assualted before and it was like they were laughing at me for not being abel to take it. I am so angry and these guys were heavy big guys, i am a happy go-lucky person, nice and not a scally, i jusdt am in shock as i can;t ebleive they get away with this. so stay away from liverpool and especially this area it is too dangerous and they are evil people who abuse and assault women.

Sadly, very sadly, another example of a once great place now turned crap because of scallys and tosser bouncers! It was closed temporarily a few weeks back by the Police due to a stabbing! Enough said.

Damn! Went in here a few weeks ago for a cheap pint as I had a bit of time to kill before I had a train to catch. Paid something stupid like 2.60 for a pint of Strongbow in a plastic pint glass (or should that be plastic pint plastic!?) What happened to 1.90 a pint?

This is a great place to visit in the afternoon. I've been there several times over the last month and it has always been empty. No real ales but 1.90 for a pint of Strongbow is a bargain! Nice balcony on the 1st floor for the smokers and Sky Sports is always on TV.

As for the evening, me and my sister had just been to see a band at the Barfly and had a bit of time to kill before our train home. The bouncers wouldn't let us in to Walkabout because I was wearing combat trousers and my sister had dyed pink hair! The people inside looked like scallys aswell so we were glad that we weren't allowed in!

did anyone else see a guy being dragged out by his feet by a couple of bouncers on saturday the 24th between 11 and 12, he was in a pretty bad way.

If you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet drink in a civilized environment, this place is not for you. Equally, if you're looking to have a not so quiet drink in a place that isn't packed to the rafters with cretins, this place is not for you. Also, there is something sinisterly militant and aggressive about Australian nationalism; just another amongst a whole range of reasons not to visit.

God-awful approximation of what some tosser thought would be an antipodean mega-bar. Wall to wall XXXX precludes any decent ale. Its only useful social function is that it stops the charisma-less from wandering off and polluting other, genuine pubs.

Just don't.

Part of the next wave of super-chain bars in Liverpool. Too expensive and awful. Avoid.

Cannot and will not drink in an establishment that refuses entry to British Servicemen.

This pub is not really my cup of tea. However,it seems a fairly friendly pub overall and the beer quality is reasonable.

Not bad for a theme chain pub, mid-week drink offers make this place dirt cheap (2-4-1 etc).
Music is fantastic and varied, goes from Meat Loaf to 80s, 70s back to present.
Can get too packed when footy or rugby is on, so if you want to sit down you`ll have no chance

we used to go to walkabout all the time until recently when more bars started opening in concert sq. Great friendly atmosphere in my opinion, and sometimes has good drinks offers
