Was in this pub one Friday afternnon December last year and it's like going back in time. I suppose that's what I liked about it and it feels very traditional and 70's decor. I think it was 2.50 for a soup, fish & chips and the lager was good. I hope it's a pub that never changes and keeps it's traditional side.

Warm, friendly atmospheric '60's/'70's pub. Varied age range starting around 30 yr olds up to 60 yr olds. Excellent 3-course menu as previously mentioned by other contributors. (Still at 1.80). Professional and extremely accommodating bar/waiting staff. Talented musicians "The Band With No Name"! perform every Fri & Sat. (Pop, Rock, Mid of the road). Frequented by visiting musicians who entertain in guest spots. Very accessible by rail & road.
A taste of bygone days. Wonderful!
