well below average pikey horrible boozer. I only went to see one of the bands that was playing & was greeted by a stench of dope round the back door from the gangs of intimidating youths staring. Shoddy interior, staff friendly enough but what they served was watery flat ale, landlord was an obnoxious unpleasent & frankly rude fat B*****d. i was planning on a taxi home but couldn't face more than two of those beers so left when a big fight kicked off.!
Found out later the band (despite being really good) didnt get paid by said landlord & an almighty argument ensued..! NEVER agian -AVOID at all costs.!

Good bar staff and great manager and his wife. Always friendly and always putting on live music or some sort of event. The clienete vary depending on what day it is but it is a friendly place and deserves to do well.

It normally has the football on a large screen so I often stop in there on the way home.

I'd always given this pub a wide berth as I'd heard that it was a trouble pub but I recently went along to a Ska night and had a great time.
Been back on a Friday night twice since and, sadly, it was totally empty - the beer was nasty as well and the whole place looks a bit worn out.

Average pub bit of a pikey atmosphere and not very friendly but has all the sports pool table and dart board. Beer qualitys not great but has improved recently since the makeover.

I totally love this Pub, Brilliant mix of interesting people, and a few uninteresting one's as well, but all out to have a beer and a good laugh, and you do get a lot of laughs in this pub guaranteed!!! Long as you blend into the friendly crowd, Gr8 entertainment nights. I noticed the last time I ventured in there that it has been involved in a semi makeover, made a huge difference, looks brighter! I might go for a drink there again soon, and yes,,, I had a few Sambuca's with the locals hehe... lucky me. :-)

Get's a good rating from me. Just stopped in for a few before catching a train, yeah...didn't go home that night. I think his name was Daniel?

Good to hear Kollantai, I will visit this pub again, as it sounds as though it has improved.

I live locally, but had always given this place a wide berth. I was pleasantly surprised when we popped in a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night, when we our train was cancelled. We were made to feel very welcome, and there was a good mix of both asain and white customers. I would definitely come back here.

Ooh I love me merlot and lobster I do.
Seems you are almost as fond of a Stereotype as I am Charty?

I can give a specific example of the "right wing" attitude in this pub - Went in here with an Asian colleague and the looks he was getting from the rest of the punters told it's own story. Again, perhaps a one off, but you can only judge by what you find.

Presumably the Ginger Prince got lost on his way to Richmond and stumbled on the North Star. More energetic and passionate governors in Paul and Jo you are not likely to find. The beer is well kept and if you stay for any time you'll be offered the house special Sambuca. Quite what 'right wing' clientele means I'm not sure, but in the North there exists a mix of all creeds and cultures. Special events are plentiful and the nights there colourful. It might not be the ignition point of the workers revolution, but unlike other pubs it does actually contain working people with their own distinctive, illuminating and relevant views on society. Pubs are about working people relaxing and conversing, not 20 types of Merlot, lobster bisce and progressive jazz.

Opposite Hounslow BR station, therefore might be worth a pint if you are waiting for a train. Otherwise, has some very right-wing clientele so avoid.
