Excellent pub serving well kept ale, my baguette was one of the best I've ever tasted. Good service too. Pretty quiet on my lunchtime visit though.

I can assure you that this is quite simply a legendary establishment. Me and my boys have attended on many a Friday night for the meat raffle and a few jars of Badger. We made the mistake of venturing in one Saturday evening and were hastily and repeatedly attacked by a hen party who pulled our hair and called us names, no matter... we fought back with coins and the Badger won through! My friend Grogan, back in '05, also had a run in with a dodgy pickled egg and this caused him to lose all attraction towards the Giggling Beaver on tap, very odd I thought.

Superb local pub not yet giving in to the wine bar tendency. Well kept ale, good straight-forward victuals, and fantastic live acts performing cabaret in the bar. I can thoroughly recommend it.

I once stopped by here when I was attending a wedding. I had the Shepherds Pie and it was sumptous (washed down with a jar of Naughty Friar fine ale) I would recommend this establishemnt as a reasonably good tavern.

Lovely establishment, my singular visit only marred by the fact i had a dodgy pickled egg and spent the best part of the evening on the comode. Bar manager looks like Arthur Albiston and hales from Carshalton, he has some wonderful anecdotes from his time as quartermaster in the Mid-Glamorgan division of the TA. They have a wonderful local brewed drop called Giggling Beaver but beware of the low beams towards the rear, my friend Wellsy gave himself concusion in '94.

Small and cosy with a great selection of local ales on tap and delicious home-made food. Very welcoming landlords and friendly atmosphere. Cosy log fire, pool table, juke box and skittle alley.
