The Saracens Head, Dunstable

Does anyone know if Roy, the delightful (he does stinks though) Irish water spaniel still resides here. I remember feeding him Monster Munch back in 1999 and getting a right telling off from the Landlord. Haven't had the courage to venture back since.

The Salvation, Halifax

Yeah, not a bad little boozer. However, it can get a bit rowdy and contentious during televised football matches and there is one chap who gets vocal during Man Utd games. I think he is a southern fan which oftern prompts lots of discussions about whether he is a true fan and attends these games. Nice Landlord and the restaurant does a mean Fishfinger sandwich (ketchup not included)

The Half Way Inn, Aberystwyth

I held my cousing Angus McDougal's stag do here. Everything was fine until the bar ran out of Fosters and some wag turned off the Hearts vs Hibs derby in favour of an old episode of 'Going for Gold' on UK Living (a blind contestant won a trip to Paraguay incidentally) The corner shop down the road does a mean scotch egg too.
