Nice food here - particularly the mexican stuff. Very enjoyable. Beer is well kept too. I went in the daytime and it seems to be a bit of a family pub.

further to the previous comment by "BOBHOPELESS" !!!!
I would like to comment that the chilli does not have chicken in it! The chilli at the bents is ace!! and its BEEF!!... they do not deserve comments like that, this is an excellantly run pub, the way pubs should be run! the beer is well looked after..I can assure you i have had many pints there! REAL ALE!! the gaffer is real great bloke with over 25years in the trade under his belt....
how anyone can speak badly of the bentlands, its down right rude!
great Menu, texmex, steaks, fish its a massive menu! top place!

I was looking forward to going here, due to the mexican food they advertise. However, their Famous Bentlands Chilli has got chicken in it!!! Due to this heresy I cannot in any way, shape or form recommend this pub. The beer wasn't much kop either, although the staff were nice enough.

A nicer pub now, used to be known for failed wide boys & nancy boys or Ancient British dyed in the wool Conservatives & pretend Liberals (some Lib's later used the Wergs Crown pub),in the 1970's i went in for a swift pint & overheard a regular complain about a Condom machine being fitted in the loos - "It brings down the reputation of pub" Ha! i nearly spilt me heavy handled pint glass on hearing this, the local shopkeeper & Cleaning firm owner also raised a smile at my laughing antics or did they ?
Most of the 70's clientel removed their butts to the Codsall Con. club, which now also gets better custom as "The Firs",some of those old customers also mix in with the good lads at "The Station" bar close to the Codsall/Oaken borderline.
This Bentlands pub of Suckling Green Lane, improved by providing a drinking corner for a half decent footie team (or 2),it is a great littl pub now with a good enough lounge with good food & Proper Garden & a nice small bar too (unlike many a (Restaurant/Lounge bar),Much more normal people too - but, whats normal anyway?

Your site needs updating ! The bentlands do serve excellant food all day every day ..especially tex-mex..but they do not serve sunday roasts! Its also going through a redecoration at the moment..nice lighting (morroccan I think)

Quite a few pubs are asking over 2 for a pint of Banks's MILD, at least here it is the handpulled cask version.

On my visit today nearly everyone there was ordering food, it looked very appetising and good sized portions. A good few diners were eating outside in the large garden.

The pub looks very posh and it certainly is in the restaurant area. The bar at the far end, which was empty this afternoon, looks pretty normal though.
