The Woodman is my only choice when it comes to dining out. The menu is full of delicious locally sourced produce with a very well considered wine list - I highly recommend the Mudhouse Sauvignon Blanc! I have dined at many places but this is most definitely my firm favourite and I hope to have many more visits here. It provides fantastic value for money, great location, a fun atmosphere and always a warm welcome! Well done Tim and Emma! See you soon!

We has our wedding lunch at The Woodman and was totally blown away by the high standard of care and attention all staff gave to make our day special.

The food, and drinks selection is of very high standard and everything we've ever eaten there has been wonderful. Would highly recommend for just a passing drink, or for a 3 course meal.

Best pub in the area - by far!

The Woodman provides a warm welcoming experience. From the ease of parking, the neatly kept exterior and garden, the good choice of beer, the aroma of well priced, excellently prepared food. All polished off the the friendly hosts Tim, Emma and their team.
Unfaultable.

The Woodman is an absolute gem and one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure to dine in. The service is always fantastic, the food divine and ofcourse the bread - lovely! It is extremely rare for me to praise anywhere as much as this place and I highly recommend it to everyone. All my friends now go there and I have practically been living there myself. Everything about the Woodman is excellent and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome. The staff are all superb and huge compliments to the chef. I think Tim and Emma have done a truly fantastic job and they should be extremely proud of what they have achieved. I'm leaving to go overseas next week and cant wait to come back and enjoy another dining experience with the team.

Having read the reviews on the Woodman, I decided to give it a try on a visit to Claverley and booked a table for six for Saturday lunch.

This pub/restaurant exceeded all expectations. Good beer, good wine, excellent service and superb food at a very reasonable price!

An interesting menu, well presented, generous portions. The starters and puddings were particularly tasty.

Recommended.

Myself and my friend went to The Woodman on Saturday evening. It was absolutely freezing outside but that was forgotten once we went inside, the coal fire was roaring away (lucky for us, we sat right infront of it) and we soon warmed up.

Great decor and atmosphere, very cosy. We were really looked after by Tim and Emily and their lovely staff. It was a welcoming change to see some different dishes on the menu. We ordered starters and main meal but was far to full for a pudding, mores the pity as there were some delicious things on the menu. The food was brilliant, (too much for us though - huge portions of vegetables, chips and potatoes were bought out to accompany our main meal of lamb).

We will definately be going back and would have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends.

The Woodman was suggested by a number of friends, who eat out regularly, as a suitable place for lunch with my wife, family & visiting relatives. I was not disappointed! The decor is modern, the service is warm & friendly, the food was fantastic (generous portions & cooked as requested). The price offered stunning value for money. This pub deserves to thrive. My family want to return to sample Sunday lunch, so I shall be reserving a table soon! Well done.

Whilst visiting relatives in the Claverley area I was taken into this Pub for lunch. There was a very friendly atmosphere, tasteful decor and pleasant bar staff. The menu catered for all tastes and we found it hard to choose as everthing sounded so appetising. When the food arrived it was served very professionally, not just thrown together on a plate. The portions were large, from the starters to the desserts everything tasted excellent. I can highly recommend a visit to this pub but you may need to reserve a table as it is very popular. Just a little tip, the homemade icecream is a must!

This is one quality establishment not to be missed with it's smart tradional looking exterior hiding an oasis of relaxed interior style. Top quality food with a wine list to match together with an unusual range of spirits for those looking to go off piste eg Hendricks gin..
No style over substance here though largely due to the young managemnt team who appear effortlessly give that bit extra to all customers whether first time visitors like me or regulars...

Never thought I'd go to somewhere like David Austin Roses. It comes to us all! CAMRA provided no pubs of interest. So put our criteria into BITE & came up trumps, would have awarded 10 if they had local beer. 2 pints of Spitfire were excellent & my wife's 2 big slugs of Chianti hit the spot. Delicious beef sandwhich & the meals passing by us looked appetising. Somebody knows what they are doing in the kitchen, which makes a change. Saturday lunchtime & the place was nearly full, which speaks for itself, and there's lots of local competion. Professional, attentive & pleasant service.( No young t.ssers pestering you about the eating experience) We don't normally bother to eat out in the UK as it's overpriced & cr.p. We do spend mega bucks on food in France & S Europe. We'll tell our friends & revisit if in the area. CC Tewkesbury

This was the place to go back in the 80s. On my more recent visit they no longer catered for the MILD drinker, so walked straight out, a pity as the pub still has a nice feel about it.
