Really this is a food pub selling good portions at decent value. Otter bitter was pretty good too!

A sneaky Friday afternoon treat. A visit to the New Inn. Nice, traditional pub. Three ales on (Kingstone, Adnams and???) plus Old Rosie on for the ciderheads. Fantastic pint if Kingstone Gold. Only gripe is £3:40 a pint; although thats not unusual these days. A few diners in too - food looks and sounds good.

Very nice roadside pub featuring a great selection of tantalising beers. The pint of Dawkins ttt was the best pint of the day(not bad bearing in mind we visited six regular good beer guide entries!) Friendly landlord,traditional interior with lovely beer garden.My only gripe is that the area just for drinkers inside is limited with it being very foodie orientated. 8/10 all the same mind

Has just been voted Bristol CAMRA pub of the year, so thought it worth a visit. Beers on offer were Cotswold Spring Brewery's Codrington Royal, Marston's Pedigree and Wye Valley Brewery Hereford Pale Ale. The HPA finished just as my pint was being poured, so I tried the Codrington first. This was fine, but I was pleased when they put on the HPA within 20mins of the previous one going off. I was impressed that they did this at 9.30pm on a busy Friday night when all the diners were just finishing off.
It's definitely a popular eating place, with two big areas devoted to dining. The drinking area was a cozy spot with three tables near the bar. So it struck me as more of an eating place than a drinking one, but they obviously change the beer a lot. There was a list of upcoming beers, including Black Sheep and Lightning (not Summer Lightning, I think it said on the notice). Looks like the perfect spot if you want a nice meal out, but you like top ale as well.

Visited for Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Good service, very friendly, (despite being exceptionally busy), good for families, the food was superb and the beers well-kept with a good choice including some local brews. Popular and deservedly so. Keep up the good work!

OK it's a bit more of a restraunt than a pub, sadly. Now that's the bad news over with. (Food looked great btw)
Good range of "well kept" local brews, relaxing and well upholstered drinking area which is seperate to the dining area and a very nicely mixed clientele creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere. Nice garden too! Shame the car park looks like Steptoe's back yard at Oil Drum Lane with all the old clapped out cars there but there we are.
Relaxing pub, even my wife loved it and she hates pubs full stop usually.

Then, it was a typical 'Olde English' inn.
Nice warm beer, dark panelling etc.
Haven't been in for a decade or more.
Still, give it a six.
