I am a local at JD's and feel as if i should support the place. You can have a great laugh in there, the atmosphere is laid back and fun. The parties they have must be successful otherwise people wouldn't come back.
But i was shocked to find out last night that my pint had gone up by 50p during normal hours (only up by 20p in Happy hour 5pm-7pm)
Don't knock the place until you've tried it!!!

I had my birthday parth there and although the drinks were overpriced it is an ideal location and size for a party, when I have been in at other time it has been empty with the barman watching The Simpsons I agree but with FREE party hire you cant complain

Well, well, well - i would never have thought that JDs would appear on a website!!!

The bar is small (60 max approx), the music too loud, early evening enterainment consisits of the Bar-man watching The Simpsons, Star Trek and whatever else he fancies whilst ignoring customers and potential punters. The service is slow, the food is over priced, and 9 times out of 10 they will have 'run out' of the requested drink - excuses vary the brewery delivery is late to we have no gas, or the pumps are broken.

The place has potential, if it were not so far out of Kingston town centre, in fact it would be better off just OUT of Kingston and as for the Manager they have running the place, could someone let him know where to get a personality from, teach him some manners and explan to him that without paying customers he will have no job - he seems to have no idea of how to run a business!

Pokey little nightspot in Kingston, atmosphere is not good for a student town and the management are extremely annoying and rude to punters. If you're going to Kingston, give this place a miss.
