I only guessed at that because it was the only place on Nottingham Road in Loughborough on here. Surprised the Tap & mallet isn't listed - at least it got a mention now though.

Cotes Mill is an old water mill which used to be a pub but is now the design offices and showrooms of a kitchen furniture manufacturer. It should really be marked as "closed" on this site. The Tap & Mallet is much nearer the town centre on the other side of the railway station to Cotes Mill and doesn't seem to have ever been listed on BITE despite its GBG listing.

I think this is now the Tap & Mallet - if so then it is now a decent old school Bateman's house with proper old scholl miserable buggers and a reasonable pint of ale on offer.

Have been here weekly over the summer. Superb and good value roast dinners on a sunday, and some very welcome proper english grub. Good beer too!
