hoping this pub will be open again soon. there are some people missing their morning coffee! know its a bit rough in the eve but was ok for lunch

Dreadful chav city with very cheap beer, from a ten minute visit I came to the conclusion that most of the young customers were called "innit", avoid.

The previous owners left the pub in december 2006, it was then taken over by the coopers, and then gladis. The reviews after the sunday roast one should attributed to the coopers and not to the previous ownwer. The roasts were truely excellent and im still missing them to this day.

Who goes to the pub for a bouncy castle? Try going there on a Friday night and you'll get glassed. A truly great example of a Chav-filled nightmare pub. If anything, it gets a point for comedy value!!

Four hand pumps and only one beer. But that beer was on offer at �2 per pint.

Went to the 1066 last saterday (13/10/07) took Grand Children realy warm welcome in avery busy pub due to renactment weekend. Great Food Bouncy Castle a truly kid frendly pub The only one in Battle Went back in the evening to watch the Rugby on a huge Screen must be 9 feet wide realy great atmosfear. Spoke to the bar man chap named Gary and he told me the pub changed hands in July and the new owner Gladys was a local lady and he realy liked working there and in my exprance if the staff are happy it says it all.As your other coments are for and on the prveious owners perhaps it would be nice to give them a clean slate

This should stay CLOSED. Gents urinal was blocked the toilets and pub smelt of urine, the place is filthy. There are only six pubs in a very small town which is popular to visitors. A shame that most pubs are an insult to normal hygiene, perhaps the local environmental health department should get their act together.

A pub CLOSED on a warm Tuesday evening in May. It will not make money doing this

We had Sunday roast here. Fantastic! The beef was sliced as thick as your hand and the perfectly cooked spuds were as big as cannon balls.
