Called in to see if the beer had improved since our last visit, ordered 2 halfs of ipa that was so bad that drinking it would possibly have made you ill, was going to order some food but if they can't look after the beer no way am i eating anything there

Good atmosphere but very poor cask ale, doombar stale and tired and the devon coast even worse, had to leave and try one in the blue anchor which was superb.
When you are being charged £3.60 a pint it's got to be perfect,
I don't know how these pubs stay open during the winter months.

Called in for a bit of food but really enjoyed the beer. Friendly and attentive staff. Crab sandwich was lush!

Lovely welcoming pub with a great selection on the menu, very clean, tidy with friendly management and staff, very unusual for a pub these days

Went to this pub over the bank holiday weekend, sat in the bay window overlooking the harbour for a pint or two with the intention of using a nearby Indian restaurant afterwards until we saw the pubs specials menu and decided to stay, opted for the beef vindaloo served with rice, chilled chutney and poppadum, best pub supper Ive had in a long time, curry and a pint in a pub not an overpriced curry house on the Brixam harbour front, lovely!

We visited this pub during the day out of season and it was very quiet.
Can't say it was a bad experience like some of the comments say here.
I imagine it is a totally different place on a saturday night though.

I frequent this pub every time I come down to brixham. I find it a very pleasant place to have a drink and now they have a new menu which has a good variaty of meals to choose from. The landlords seem like a nice couple who are allways talking to the people drinking in there. I see this pub as my local from home with very good barstaff who a friendly and allways seem to have a smile on there faces. defiantly best pub in brixham..

this pub has its up and its downs some of the staff are very friendly however the landlord and his wife let this down. The decor is somewhat dated however made up with the locals. But wouldd never stay there for a full night and food is quite tasteless however fairly priced.

I visited the bullers arms 26 feb 2011 went with a group of woman friends, and looking forward to a good evening, subject from a vicious attack from landlords wife for dancing with a drink in my hand, let it go as wanted no hassel, then repeated attack by landlord him self at the end of the night where drink was vicously riped from my hand during end of evening conversation then was man handled from the pub. I can not stress enough that i visited this pup in good sprits and good homour and was shocked and horrified at my treatment. If i were to sum up my experence i would simply decribe it as poisoneous. trust me do not go anywhere near there!! from what i have subsaquently discovered this is NOT a one off.

A decent sized pub in a good location beer was good and the price acceptable.
The bar is rather interesting as it actually resembles the hull of a boat.

heard there is a newbe frequenting the pub, would like to take this opportunity to warn all women, especially women with teenage daughters to be very cautious round him, he has habit of targeting women to get near the daughters, he calls himself "STEVE" or "STEVIE B".(late 40s, and he thinks he is hillarious) dont want this pub with a bad reputation AGAIN !!

Visited this pub during a recent stay, real ales were abbott and ruddles, the couple now running it are a very friendly couple who going off previous reports have started to turn this pub around, it was a pleasant place to have a pint.

This pub has recently been taken over by a new couple who are determined to rid it of its previous druggie reputation cultivated by the previous landlord and so far are doing a good job. It has been nicely decorated and they have adopted a similar policy to the Hole in the Wall in not allowing youngsters in. It's amazing how pubs who adopt this policy very quickly become busy. If the soon to be opened refurbished Spratt and Mackerel follow suit then Brixham might start to gain a reputation for good pubs.

Rapidly turning into a druggies playground.

Great location, otherwise vile.

This has become the pub that is loud, full of drunken (or possibly drugged looking at them) young kids and had spilt beer everywhere. Shame as it has lots of space unlike most Brixham pubs and has a good location. The staff were also a bit young and careless and we'd often wait ages for a drink. In the day ti is full of families eatign awful loookign fried meals, but I feel sorry for them as nto many pubs will take them. Mehtinks it is just sitting back and capitalising on it's harbourside position.

There was also an incident a couple of years nack where a very drunken womans started demandign more drinks after 11 pm and calling the landlord a c*nt.She became aggressive adn wasn't dealt with.

This pub serves good food during the day and allows children in the daytime, with non smoking areas. Karaoke on a friday night which is usually fairly busy... Good beer.

More like a creche than a pub. Feels like you're inside of Bob Marley's lung. Pleasant views of the harbour.
