Not very good.

Pint of Ruddles was average at best. Despite being relatively quiet service was appalling, gaining the feeling of being invisible to staff!

Won't bother again.

Tried the Crown for a lunchtime drink/bite to eat. We arrived to find the place moderately busy, but only one person behind the bar. Been ignored/overlooked 5 times whilst trying to get served was frustrating. Had a half decent pint of Abbots, but decided not to eat due to the poor service. Not a place to go if your in a hurry.

Worst service I've experienced for a while. The beer was OK, but food and service poor. If you want serving don't expect it to be quickly!

This is the pub where the staff never give you back your lost and handed wallet!

Visited here for a meal. My wife unfortunately had a fall - no fault of the Crown or drink! She broke her nose as she fell face first down a step which she knew was there but missed , The staff were superb in the way the dealt with the situation, alling a ambulance and taking all thres firts aid precautions. The meal was good too!

I won't lie I found it hard to find good points about this place. On my last few visits I have noticed an odd musky smell that is noticable around the whole pub. Your nose does get used to this smell eventually but it can be a bit off putting on the first visit. Now I will say that this is one of the few Lloyds Bars that actully looks like a Lloyds should look saying that very little natural light gets in resulting in the pub being very dark even if its sunny outside. The neons and low lighting look great at night but during the day it can look dark and dull. The upstairs bar is flooded with sunlight but everytime I've been bar one saturday the bar upstairs has been closed, whats the point. The place also felt dirty but I cant put my finger on why. As mentioned below the place can be packed with prams, screaming kids, benefit cheats and people living off our taxes. In my opinion this place should be packed with students with Worcester Uni close by and most of the students living in or near the city centre. It could make a small fortune. So now positives. The staff were very polite and quick to serve on all my visits. The beer was in good in all respects. I really dont think places like this should sell ale but to be fair the ones I tried all tasted excellent.

Visited this Lloyds bar on a Tuesday evening (yesterday) it was far from busy but the place did look like a bar that had been open all day. There were empty glasses on most unused table & those table that were ready to use needed wiping down to look more inviting. This is a large Pub / Bar & the wait to be served was far longer than one would expect for the amount of punters @ the bar. Each bar staff seemed to be holding their own private conversations with the small amount of people stood in this area.
We did order food & that arrived far quicker than we had expected & we found the food to be both palatable & inexpensive in keeping with most Witherspoon houses.
This is the only bar I have used in Worcester so it's hardly a comparision on prices. But there are several low beams & even lower light fittings which claimed one or two heads during the evening.

Called on a busy Thursday lunchtime, lots of shoppers, kids and prams. Bishops Tipple, Exmoor Gold and Hooky Gold on hand pumps and by general consensus well kept.Until 5 October all wines at house wine prices.Last Monday returned a red Fetzer, changed with no problem.

I like this place. It's a lloyds so as long as you don't expect much more than average food and beer, you can't go wrong really. Staff seem friendly most of the time - although the bar always sees really busy - maybe they should consider employing some more people so you don't have to wait so long???

Very good modern pub, cheap, good atmosphere, just seems to take an age to get served at certain times of the day, which spoils it big time.

This pub no longer exists.
Along with Todd's bar (next door) it has now become one large Lyodd's number one bar.
