Lloyds No 1, Gatwick Airport

Flew from Gatwick in early hours of Wednesday 18th and as had been waiting for a decent pint was not impressed with the attitude of the staff members of this gaff. It was 3.15am when I politely asked what time they would be open and was told 4am, fair do's. So after walking round for another half hour I returned and walked past to see if any progress but was quite amazed by this ratty faced black haired bitch to say to her colleague "no we are not fucking open, fucking sick of them asking". Because of you rat face, nil points. Red Lion, opened at 4am, Amstel was lush.

The Free Press, Cambridge

I think its one of the best pubs I`ve visited, and I`ve visisted a few I can tell you. The management are first class (apart from the dodgy scouser) he's a bit wrong and does look a bit like McCartney is his youth!!! On the upside, the beer is fantastic and the food is unbelievably wholesome and delicious. Having no music and fruit machines is a bonus, as is the no smoking/no mobile rule - theres always the garden. Probably not everyones cup of tea but no chavs, asbo's or dvd sellers, so for me that's a bonus.

The Salisbury, Harringay

I have been going here for drinks after work for a while and haven't been for a while prior to this visit. Went on Friday 1st December with some friends. DJ's in back room were superb, really good night, hopefully have another but think it was a one off (Bangers N Mash). Drinks are quite pricey but like someone else said before you don't get any scummers and the environment is proper old school. They also have live bands on Fridays and Saturdays and serve some pretty tasty nosh, which is well worth the extra dollar. Blinding!
