The Prince Regent, Marylebone

I went to the Prince Regent last weekend, for what should have been a lovely Christmas get together with my friends. I was so disappointed. The service was absolutely appalling, the staff really rude and the food, below average, orders missed off and cold. Considering this place looks as though it should be cosy and friendly and that the reviews I had read said that the place was ok, I was really disillusioned.
On complaining to the manager we were told that 'the staff are really busy' - yes it's Christmas, of course they are busy, you would hope they could at least manage to be polite - although to be fair, we did get some money off the bill. It didn't make up for the fact that our Christmas gathering, with friends from other parts of the UK, had to a certain extent been marred. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and will certainly not be returning.
