The Harrow Inn, Compton

We live in the village and have tried a number of times to give this pub a chance after changing ownership.

The bar staff are fairly friendly but not particularly attentive. The chef however should be fired. We have eaten there twice and come away both times with food poisoning. I was ill after eating sausage and mash on the first visit and my husband was violently ill after eating fish and chips on our next visit.

The pub is just not busy enough for the food to stay fresh. Even the wine sits opened on the shelf for weeks on end and then tastes like vinegar.

We will not be going back and strongly recommend that you avoid the food at all costs.
