Prince Arthur, Euston

Date of visit: Friday 21 January 2011 - we tried this place for lunch. It looks like a pub (from outside and inside) but it's waiter table service only - no drinks at the bar. However, it's not a gastro pub - the food is all bar meal stuff between 3.50 starters to 8.50+ main courses. There were three beer pumps, but one was off, leaving a choice of Deuchars or Greene King IPA. No lover of Scots beer, I reluctantly went for the brewery-killer brew - but it was good. And I have to say that the fish and chips (down 8.50 to 6.50 as a "special") was the best I've had for ages. One jarring note was the piped music, of the smooth/funky style. Worth a visit for lunch.

The Royal Oak Inn, Saundersfoot

31/5/07 and 2/6/07: very welcoming, good beer, great food, good atmosphere. Food prices ok at lower end, not cheap at top end - but how much do you expect to pay for a 2-foot sea bass?
