The Fox, Hanwell

Having not long moved into the area, me and my housemate ventured into the fox due to its extremely close proximity, we were very pleasantly surprised, a great little pub with a proper traditional pub atmosphere, occasionally have live music which is usually good quality, and it's a delightful little pub, wether you are popping in for a quick pint, or in there for the evening. the landlord and staff are always friendly, and the dogs are gorgeous! the pub has been subject to some unfortunate incidents involving foreigners who had too many getting angry for no reason, and vandalising, which is entirely undeserved for such a great pub.

The Lord Nelson, Sutton

As a former regular of this pub, i found it friendly and had a great atmosphere to start with, this was three years ago. since the landlady's sister moved back to ireland the landlady has set about alienating most of the regulars, driving not one, not two, but three darts teams out of the pub due to treating them like scum. the landlady's motto is; if you dont like it, tough. the landlady always comes first and she will go for cheapness before making the pub a nice place to drink. hopefully now she has lost the privilege of having two darts teams drinking in there on an otherwise deserted wednesday night every week, she will realise what it really means to be in the service industry and sell up to someone who appreciates their customers, regulars and first time customers.
