The Carpenters Arms, Windsor

Great! My hubby and I have tried many pubs and restaurants around Windsor and this is one of our favorites for typical British pub food. Try the pies (Steak & ale, etc) always good, you won't be disappointed. We didn't expect it to be as good as it was due to it's location in a very touristy area.

The Three Tuns, Windsor

We tried the Three Tuns today - my husband had the Sunday roast, I had the Chicken Tikka Marsala. Very disappointing to say the least. The service was prompt and the waitress pleasant, but the food left much to be desired. We have ate at many places around Windsor and this was by far the most disappointing. The pub to the left of this one is much better, just as historical but a better atmosphere and the food far superior.

Don't waste your time here, there are plenty of great pubs and restaurants in Windsor that you will be much happier with.
