The Gate, Chorleywood

Agree with the_Lej, it's a restaurant more than a pub, but does have a comfortable beer garden as well as an outside dining area.

The Prince of Wales, Marlow

A little off the beaten track (High Street), but thai food in the evening is very reasonable. Refurb has definitely opened up this locals pub. You can even sit out on the patio in the summer - much improved.

The Ferry, Cookham

I think the service is better midweek. I took my parents on a Tuesday evening and the food was pretty good. Crispy duck salad for main was delicious, but the chilli squid starter was slightly over-cooked, but very tasty, enough for two to share.

On a downside, the menu hasn't hardly changed since it first opened, so a little variety would be well received.

Nothing truly outstanding here but have to agree, a huge improvement to ye olde Harvester.
