The Bridge Bar, Beckenham
Thought we'd try this place out last Friday night on a recommendation. The decor and style of this place is great, looks very cool, and some money has clerly been clearly spent to make it look like an attractive modern place to go. It's definitely a new take on club interiors. Sadly the attitude of the staff is far from modern, particularly the neandertals 'on the door' wandering around dragging their knuckles doing their best to look intimidating. This is an attitude that I thought had dissapeared, (it certainly doesn't exist in any of the decent places in London, may be it's a suburban thing!). They've clearly 'ideas above their station'. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, not really the place you can really 'go for it', the music and crowd was quite mediocre, and they could probably do with letting in some of the more casually dressed types they were constantly turning away at the door.
