Campbells Bar, Horndean
The pub is now open again and has gone back to its original name of The Anchor.
The new management has abandoned Sky Sports as a crowd puller and is trying to rebuild the pub's original reputation as a village pub, with a quiet lounge bar and a public bar aimed at the younger market with Darts, Pool and Poker. Live music is planned every two weeks, and there's an opening party on the 19th September with a live act, a free buffet and a free local taxi home. Worth a visit.
