I dont actually go to weatherspoons ! I can only speak from own personal experience if you think it was good value then good for you ! I personally would not step foot in this establishment ever but if you like this pub then you are entilted your own opinion . I would say you opinion is definatley questionable !

The Rose and Crown, Burwash

Tuesday 5th August
Want a clicky ' locals ' pub , full of old world charm , then look no futher then then Rose Crown , down the side alley off Burwash high street.
But don't go if you are hungry because it's only locals who stand a chance of getting any grub within a reasonable time . We ordered cod and chips ( Not cheap at �9.95 each ) were told there would be a 20 mins wait at 1.50 pm . At 2.20pm ( after watching the locals get served ) we ask where lunch was, " it would sometime yet " . " They were busy " ( With locals ) . Could we have a sandwich , as we had to get a move on to be at the Beneden Hospital on time ". " The sandwich team were also " BUSY " , we could have refund , hungry we hung on and asked again at 2.35 pm . It was just coming ( They must have gone to catch the fish they certainly had the time . At 2.40 pm our lunch arrived it was hard to find the fish amongst the huge amount of batter , we had to bolt it down in 10 mins flat . They had the cheek to ask if , it was ok . Well no actually waiting 50 minutes for a pub grub lunch and then having to bolt it down is not ok I told them . The locals looked on , this did not happen to them . This Pub is a Gordon Ramsey SOS , the kitchen staff need a swift kick where it hurts and the front of house staff need to stop taking orders the people in the kitchen cannot cope with ! Definatley a pub to avoid , unless your a local . Not sure about these other reviews they must be locals themselves .
