Formally of Wiltshire (Purton) Currently living in Acton, that centre of gastronomic delight!!! but hoping to move soon as I cannot cope with only having 2 decent pubs to eat in.(the Rocket and the Churchfield if you're interested) Favourite pub(s) are those along the river in Hammersmith - Crabtree, Blue Anchor and The ship because of their unrivaled atmosphere in summer. Favourite restaurant is probably Annies in Chiswick. Best meal I've ever had was at Ramseys in Claridges or the Sunday Roast at the King Alfreds Head in Wantage.

King Alfred's Head, Wantage
amazing food. You will find find better for miles and it is a gem of a place for a small town like Wantage. I live in London and cannot wait to come here when I visit my folks. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The head chef is a guy called Daryll Taylor who has cooked with some of the best chefs in the world before deciding to settle in Wantage! You have to book these days as its getting busier all the time.
