The Jolly Sportsman, East Chiltington

After much hype we were really looking forward to lunching at the Jolly Sportsman especially having trekked across Sussex through a tempest. While many things were immediately welcoming and service good the food was a real disappointment. High prices, mean portions, poor quality steak, uninspired dishes (fish pie, cottage pie, curry)and vegetables extra when frankly you would have expected steamed veg as standard. We left very disappointed and had to eat a hearty evening meal when we would have expected to need only a light salad. Shame really.
