The Pullman Inn, Widmerpool

I, too, visited for lunch. The place was deserted of customers, the atmosphere was bleak, dingy and uninviting and the staff disinterested. They had no (do not sell?) draught beer (even though their webpage states '...wide slecetion of draught and bottled beers'. We left disillusioned and sad that the place has gone downhill, vowing not to return, and we found another, more welcoming, place to eat.
