We would DEFINITELY eat in Polruan's other pub as the food was dreadful here.We also noted comments in the visitors book in the cottage we stayed in, and many other people seem to agree with us.
We also found the locals rather rude as other comments suggest!
Lovely old pub, but not a particularly nice atmosphere. Got glared at a couple of times by he landlord because we complained about the food. Not usually complainers, but it was really awful!!

Russell Inn, Polruan
A much nicer pub than the 'other one' in Polruan. Nicer atmosphere, nicer food, and nicer landlord!
My Husband is black, and I got a distinct feeling of prejudice in 'the other one'
We felt welcome and relaxed in the Russel.
Lovely scampi and chips. Huge pieces of scampi, and lots of them.
DEFINITELY the better of the 2 pubs in Polruan.
