The Chandos, Trafalgar Square
The upstairs, called the Opera Bar due to its proximity to English National Opera, is spacious and nicely furnished. We had good steak-and-ale pies here and the Old Brewery Bitter was well kept. Service left a little to be desired; our food arrived separately, with little apology. Still, a good, well-priced pub in a very good location.
