The Rack & Tenter used to be a great place to get a cheap and filling lunch in the City. Visited it today for the first time in a couple of months and was sorely disappointed. Lunch menu very limited (only sandwiches and 3 hot main courses available), buffet-style service changed to table service (so less time to eat) and prices gone up from about �6 (including chips and salad) to �7-�9 (chips now �1.80 on top)! Drink prices seemed OTT, even for the City - �2 for a half-pint of cola. What a shame!

Keenan's, Muswell Hill
Great local boozer - neither unpretentious nor rough. Fantastic Sunday lunches, live bands every Friday and Satuday night, quiz every Thursday.
