Average Food, Terrible Service.

I was taken to this pub for a Mothers Day treat and was really looking forward to it as I had read the blurb from the pub saying that they were well known for their excellent Sunday roasts... Well, the veg was overcooked, the roast potatoes were burnt, the gravy was salty and the yorkshires were soggy. Even worse though was the service. We booked the table for 1PM and arrived on time etc, however, at 1:55PM, whilst we were deciding whether we would like puddings, we were informed by a member of staff that we would have to vacate our table because it was reserved for other customers from 2PM. We were informed that we could move to the bar (with our 1 year old son who was with us). The bar being dark and smokey. Hardly a suitable environment for a small toddler!!! In addition to this, young children are not allowed in the bar areas of pubs (by law)... All in all, disappointing.
