I wouldn't necessarily take any notice of the last review, coincidentally it has was posted the morning after the local village idiot was ejected for his drunken behaviour. The landlady was merely protecting the reputation of her business when the alcohol with mental health issues was looking for trouble by provoking a more established secure gentleman and starting a fight for no reason at all.
The Ship as far as I'm concerned is a civil establishment frequented in the main by friendly folk.
