The Black Lion, Hammersmith

This Charming traditional pub has improved VASTLY since they appointed the new manager recently. Me and my friends now get lovely table service, even outside - a rarity these days - and we all go back regularly for the food. I met the new chef ( Or Cheffess ) called Penny on our last visit and tried to prize her beefburger recipe out of her - but to no avail !

This place has a great atmosphere and it's nice to find a bit of posh in Hammersmith ! Not the cheapest pub in the area but you get what you pay for.

Nice mix of people, young, old and not a chav in sight ! Would highly recommend a visit if you haven't been for a while

The Corner Store, Covent Garden

And I disagree with you. The music and atmosphere were great and it certainly was not techno! Me and my partner had dinner there on new years day and we recieved excellent service and attention from the staff despite the fact they were probably as hung over as the rest of us. A great place to chill and recover from the previous night out and they do delicious roast dinners !
