The Hunters Lodge, Woking

The pub itself is reasonably pleasant and the staff are friendly. The garden is excellent and since the revamp/name change, the food is of an acceptable standard. BUT, the beer is really really expensive. I think this is the most expensive pub in the area and as a result, we rarely use it.

The Exeter Inn, Ashburton

We returned to this pub recently during our annual trip to the area and they have got rid of the excellent Badger brews that they have had for some time. Instead they had a mixture of Dartmoor and Greene King. This is sad becuase their Badger offerings were good. The Dartmoor was okay though and the pub retains its ambience.

The Globe on the Lake, Alresford

I have always liked this pub even if it has become a bit more of a restaurant in recent years. The beer is good and there is usually a warm welcome. I understand that as of 06/09 it is being refurbished.
