The Woodman, Carshalton

Surprised to see so many negative comments on here.

I think it must depend at what time you visit.

Myself and my girlfriend have been here quite a few times over the past year, usually on a Sunday around lunchtime for a couple of pints, some food and a game of backgammon.

The locals do sit around the bar but in my experience they have all been friendly and not 'chavvy' in the slightest. The food is absolutely fine and the staff have always been friendly and efficient in my visits.

Quite a mix of folk as well and would recommend if in the area.

The Hope, Carshalton

A pub how a pub should be.

Popped in for the beer festival but the beer had run out as we went on the last knockings of the final day.

Friendly and efficient staff and a good range of ales on tap. The locals were very friendly as well, would definitely recommend and shall be returning.

The Red Lion, Bromley

Without a doubt my favourite pub in Bromley.

They always have lots of guest bitters on and it is all very well kept. The food is good honest pub grub and very reasonably priced. The locals are also very friendly as are the bar staff.

There is a dartboard at the rear of the pub.

Just a shame I had to move from the area, always pop in if I go back to visit my parents though. Top place.
