The Village Gate, Wendover
This pub is now called The Village Gate - can the lovely people at Beerintheevening change it??
Great find (I read about it in The Times last Saturday) - really friendly staff, cosy wood burning stove, 3 well kept ales (The Old Hooky was to die for!) and simple, delicious food. Ok it's not "cheap", but it's certainly not expensive, my HUGE fish & chips was jut over a tenner.
Definitely one to visit - I will be back
