The Robert Peel, Kingston Upon Thames

I think it is only fair to put the record straight about The peel in Kingston. Ten years ago 2 guys wondered into Kingston wanting to set up a live music venue. They took on the Peel which had a rough reputation. They managed to change the reputation by working together with the authorities and putting on some incredible bands and atists. They did this by doing it all themselves.

Ricky Warwick, 100 Reasons, Ginger (wildhearts), Orange Goblin, Ash, "A", Napalm Death, RockBitch, Akercocke, The Music, Gary Moore, GoreRotted, Shadow's Fall, God Forbid, UK Subs, Rachel Stamp, Lost Prophets, Rival Schools, Instruction, Stampin' Ground, Tyla (Dogs D'Amour), Capdown, Raging SpeedHorn, DragonForce, Hard Fi, The trend, Steranko, Will Haven have and do play the venue.

The Peel has become known as a Rock/Metal venue because of the major press it's had in the music media. It also hosts Alt/Indie Rock music.

The venue has been cleaned up. We don't have trouble from the estate as we have hosted dance & hip hop nights in conjuntion with the authorities this has broken down boundries.

Although people never forget the past, it is important that you know that The Peel is hugely repected by the music business and artists alike.
