A good drop of Adnams to wet the throat while listening to a band - Magenta especially good last night. Looks like a dive from the outside but inside it is sometimes the house of progression. The people there are friendly too. No, I haven't been to the Blue Bar ;)

The best metal pub in the world!!...definately better than the fighting cocks considering their gig venue is the size of a peanut.

For the record the pub is not closing.

The lease is held privately and not subject to the same constraints that have seen many a pub group collapse in the last few weeks.

Sadly Eric the Viking has moved on to bigger and better things, but keeps in regular touch.

Yes the local housing estate is doggy, but you don’t get many strippers bars in St. Georges Hill or anywhere in Middle England do you!

For the record you put your £1 in the glass before you watch the girls show you their undercarriage (sorry I meant exotic dance).

In the strip bar when you were sixteen eh…that’s some kind of trick since it’s an over 21’s venue. We’ve frequently carded people in their late twenties.

Strict no smoking or drugs, this gets you a life time ban. This isn’t some moral high ground, it’s just that if your taking drugs you ain’t drinking are you! Also we could loose the license, so it’s never ever tolerated.

If you want to do that in the beer garden (sic) then you can do so under the watchful gaze of big brothers community camera.

Still one of the best Rock, Metal and Prog Rock venues in West London.
Better is available in town, but that’s in town.

Not the best place to take a bird on the first date, unless she likes the grotty student underground raw music scene, best break her in with something softer like the Fighting Cocks, then slowly wean her on the real stuff.
