Flying Horse, Clophill

I visited this pub with my mother for lunch on Sunday and have to say it has been decorated beautifully. Our table wasn't quite ready so we sat in the lounge (lovely rug on the floor) and had a drink. There were a lot of staff on duty and though they were friendly if I had any criticism they didn't really go that extra mile for us and we did feel a little rushed. The food was pleasant but a slight disappointment considering the decor. We were surprised we had to pay for bread with our soup and the desserts were quite pricey.

The Crown, Shillington

Had Sunday Lunch at this pub today and having read some of the reviews on this sight was a bit worried. I'm pleased to say it was lovely. There was a really large party in and I did wonder if our little table of four would be forgotten, but to the contrary we were made to feel really special. My partner was offered a taste of the Ales before purchasing and he opted for Woodford's Wherry. The rest of us had wine. Food was excellent. We will be going again.
