The Beaconsfield, Harringay

By far the worst pub in London smells from the toilet prevail all over the pub
The landlady is drunk more often than not,and is very rude
The pub dog left a nice package by the gents toilet door the last time I was there.
The only good thing is you can see every Arsenal game
home or away
As for the beer drink from bottles its safer

The Garden Ladder, Harringay

Only one thing to say about this bar, its dying a slow death.
A once busy place now empty and deviod of customers except the diehard regulars who spend an hour or two in there during happy hour.

The Old Ale Emporium, Harringay

Maybe Rich should stay in the Garden ladder or Palmers Green.
This is a no frills pub with memorabilia all over the ceilings and walls old wooden casks above the bar ,
there are three lovely ladies serving behind the bar
occasionally you will find the landlord behind the bar.
Not once have I ever felt threatened in there by eyes or scotsman fighting with their lady friends.
maybe Rich it was you staring at people that you felt threatened or maybe just your own paranoia.
I feel the Garden Ladder must feel really threatened when they have to recruit "punters" to rubbish the competition.
The Old Ale has a great atmoshere on most nights I have been in there, even though its it in the middle of a refurbishment.
The Ales are good, changing more often as its now become a freehouse.
Still no plans to serve food there yet.

What a pretentious bar this is, pretends to be a freehouse but is nothing more than a jumped up wine bar with the usual suspects.
Food is small, over cooked, and overpriced for what there is,
The Salisbury serves better food and beer.
The staff are arrogant and ill mannered, the worst of whom turned out to be the owner.

The Last two saturday nights I have visited this pub it has been filled with people and music
The lagers are clean and crisp, the ales of which there are four again including just lately, crop circle, Landlord, London Pride and Broadside are clean and clear.
The addition of 8 tables with chairs outside are a welcome view on Greenlanes it gives a European look and feeling to the place.
people congregate outside forming little groups who chat and drink
The staff are excellent and keep it a relaxed place to drink
Compared to the other pubs in greenlanes it seems to be the place to be with regular customers and a mix of others
The only problem is it closes at 11pm which I am assured will be changing shortly
The pub needs no gimmicks to attract people, it is what it is a traditional local pub
