I thought i'd leave it a while before I commented on pubs and bars again. Glad to see this bar survive. I drink in here often and am always amazed how friendly the staff are. The atmosphere is so welcoming and customer focused. The customer mix is really diverse and I have never seen any trouble. Because of this It must be one of the most female & Gay friendly bars in the area. The amount of effort I have seen them put into special nights is worthy of comment. Everything from St Patricks Day to Gay Pride. My girlfriend loves the place. Well done guys keep it up.

Been a while since I've been in and a few changes have been made. The decor is much improved and feels a lot more welcoming and less clinical now.
Great to see Stephen and co are all still here and the Redemption Ales were great. Will be back Sunday for the Carvery Mmmmmm.

Directors is always fabulous. Sunday lunch is a high point in my week, especially half roast chicken week. This bar attracts the nice people in the area, no pool tables or sport screens probably help. Service comes with a smile and the garden at the back looks lovely this year.

Was in last night. Three real ales on, tried two - Theakstons Bitter and Directors. Both very good. as usual freindly and efficient service, and mixed laid back crowd. this with the Old Ale Emporium and the Salisbury make for a decent Green Lanes pub crawl - with the option of food at anyone of the excellent Turkish/Kurdish restaurants close by.

Went here the other day on a return to London/old stomping grounds. Not seen it before - converted from a shop. Relaxed, friendly staff, easygoing all round. Nice pint of Merrie Monk, with other ales on the go too. Had a Sunday lunch - they do a veggie option and you can load up in an all-you-can-eat stylee at the carvery. Nice one! Recommended
